Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are expecting their first child!

Jost confirmed the exciting news during a stand-up set in Ridgefield, Connecticut, on Sunday, August 15th. “We’re having a baby,” he said during the show. “It’s exciting.”

Rumors first swirled earlier this year that Johansson might be pregnant when she was missing from all in-person Black Widow press events leading up to the film’s July release. While Johansson did appear in a few virtual interviews, they were all close-up shots and hid everything below her shoulders.

Johansson and Jost’s upcoming baby will be the first child they are expecting together. Johansson has a 6-year-old daughter, Rose, from her previous marriage to Romain Dauriac. At the time, she opened up about the experience of meeting Rose for the first time and admitted it was different than she thought.  “When she came out of me, I was so surprised. I had a very strong picture in my mind of what my baby would look like, and, of course, she is completely different. Perfect, but not what I’d imagined.”

Johansson and Jost got engaged in May 2019 and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony a few months later in November. The Black Widow actress opened up about the engagement at the time. “He killed it,” she explained. “He did, like, a whole James Bond situation. He’s got a lot behind that news desk. He’s very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. I was surprised. Even if you kind of imagine what that moment is going to be like, it’s still a beautiful moment.”

Johansson continued, “It was very special. I think more than anything when someone tells you they want to share the rest of their life with you, that is just is a lovely, special thing.”

Congratulations to the happy couple on their growing family!
