Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has always made a point of connecting with fans and thanking them for their support, and unlike a lot of other celebrities, he genuinely cares for them.

From his superstar wrestling career to one of Hollywood’s hottest actors, Johnson has appeared happy, confident and strong but, on a recent episode of Oprah’s Master Class, he opened up about his struggle with depression.

While a lot of fans were shocked by this revelation, they were of course loving and supportive and on Thursday, Nov. 19 he took to his Twitter to respond to their reactions, writing, “Thx fam. Hardest thing sometimes (especially men) is asking for help. I wish I did. You’re never alone. Speak up.”

In his clip of Master Class, the 43-year-old stated that in his lowest points it always helped knowing there were others going through the same thing, “I found that with depression, one of the most important things you could realize is that you’re not alone. You’re not the first to go through it; you’re not going to be la to go through it. And oftentimes – it happens – you just feel like you’re alone. You feel like it’s only you. You’re in your bubble. And I wish I had someone at that time who could just pull me aside and say, ‘Hey it’s gonna be okay. It’ll be okay.’ So, I wish I knew that.”
