Ed Sheeran Takes On Dark Role For New TV Series From Kurt SutterPublished on July 28, 2015.
Ed Sheeran is what many would call a happy and joyful person who stays humble even with massive fame and does everything he can to make his friends and fans happy; however, when he comes to TV, we will be seeing a different side to the amazing singer.
Many sources have confirmed that Sheeran has joined the new FX series The Bastard Executioner created by none other than Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Sheeran has signed on for a recurring role in the series, which is lead by Stephen Moyer who stars as a 14th century knight who becomes an executioner. Sheeran will play the role of Sir Cormac who is described as “an ambitious and deadly protege of a high-ranking church elder.”
The beloved singer-songwriter made an appearace earlier this year on NBC’s Undateable and has already forged a relationship with Sutter when he recorded a version of “Make It Rain” for Sons of Anarchy‘s final episode.
The Bastard Executioner will also star Sutter, and his wife, SOA star Katey Sagal, and is expected to premiere this fall. As Sutter said, “I love history. I love theology. I love blood,” and if his hit show Sons didn’t prove that, The Bastard Executioner sure will.
