Fergie and Josh Duhamel Finalize Their Split After 2 Years Of Separation

Fergie and Josh Duhamel are officially single!

The former couple, who share a 6-year-old son named Axl, filed for judgment with the Los Angeles Country Court. The documents including details of their settlement, were filed last Friday, November 22, as reported by The Blast and TMZ.

The singer first filed for separation in late May, almost two years after she and the actor announced their split after eight years of marriage, according to a statement obtained by PEOPLE in September 2017.

Before their separation was finalized, a California court warned the pair that their case ran the risk of being dismissed if they did not file court documents before their court hearing on October 16, as stated in court documents.

The two started dating in 2004 before they were engaged in 2007 and later tied the knot in early 2009.

Since the pair’s split, Duhamel has been rumored to be dating actress Eiza Gonzalez and Audra Mari – a model and television host, and a former Miss World America winner.

Although Fergie and the actor are no longer together, the two have maintained a healthy friendship.

In August 2018, the singer and the actor threw an extravagant superhero-themed birthday party for their son. However, this year for their son’s birthday, Duhamel and Fergie seemed to have celebrated Axl’s birthday separately. Fergie hosted a paradise-themed birthday bash for her son.

Duhamel appeared on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard in December 2018, where he expressed his desire to have more children. “I’m not 30 years old anymore. I’m 45. I want to have more kids in the next few years. So it’s more about finding someone young enough to have kids. It’s not as if I’m out there trying to just f— anything. That’s not who I am. I’m trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with.”
