First Full-Length Batman v Superman Trailer Leaked Online

Published on April 17, 2015.

Only one day after director Zack Snyder tweeted out a teaser trailer for next year’s highly anticipated film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the first whole trailer leaked online.

In Snyder’s teaser trailer tweet was  a link to get a spot in a special IMAX screening event on April 20, but someone spoiled some of the fun by filming the trailer on a personal device and leaking it online.

The trailer had Portugese subtitles and was removed as soon as Warner Bros. found out about the leak, but not before the trailer made its rounds online.

While many were disappointed with the “teaser” trailer which basically only showed the costumes, the full trailer has a lot more action and has received mixed reactions from people curious about how this movie will turn out.

The trailer begins with a voice stating, “Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?”

As footage of the city and Superman flashes, a mix of commentators presumably news reports play in which Superman is both questioned and supported, “Human beings have a horrible track record of following people with great power,” and “Maybe he’s just a guy trying to do the right thing,” before a statue of Superman is shown with graffiti written over it reading, “FALSE GOD.”

The first look as Ben Affleck both in and out of his Batman costume are shown before both heroes appear on screen facing each other while a voice, presumably Affleck’s Batman says, “Tell me, do you bleed? You will.”
