Former ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Jenelle Evans Granted An Extension On Her Restraining Order Against Estranged Husband David Eason
Published on December 12, 2019.Former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has been granted an extension on her restraining order against her estranged husband, David Eason.
The Davidson County Clerk in Nashville confirmed on Wednesday, December 11, that Evans’ temporary court order would continue until Monday, January 13. Radar Online reported the news first about the ruling, which came after Evans and Eason made an appearance before the court on Wednesday morning, and a judge approved the extension.
The reality TV star filed to obtain the restraining order against Eason, with whom she shares 2-year-old Ensley, on October 31, after making a move from North Caroline to Tennessee. The court order news emerged on the same day she announced that she was filing for separation from Eason.
“With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” she posted to Instagram at the time. “The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids. Today, I’ve filed papers to start that process.”
Evans added: “I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great. We need some time to be together, but you’ll hear from us again soon.”
A source revealed to Us Weekly in October that the MTV alum and Eason’s split had been a “long time coming.” They also added that “Things have been bad even when they looked good on the surface. David was on his best behavior during court and when he had to clean up and prove himself in order to get custody of the kids back. But once it was over he was right back to his old self.”
Recently, Evans has revealed that she’s in a good place amid the split. Last month, the star tweeted on Thanksgiving that she was “thankful” for her “amazing kids” 10-year-old Jace, 5-year-old Kaiser, and Ensley. Evans also shared that she is “grateful for finally finding happiness within myself.”
Meanwhile, Eason shared via Instagram before Evans’ statement that he missed his child, Ensley, “more than she could ever imagine” as a result of the restraining order. He mentioned that he would “give anything to take her hunting again right now!”
