After months of controversy, former Teen Mom 2 stars Jenelle and David Eason are showing off their two new puppies.
While normally fans of stars love to see them with their pets, the couple’s new puppies come after David allegedly shot and killed Jenelle’s French bulldog, Nugget.
“Recently we had to find a better way of protecting our chickens and livestock. We have hawks and crows always eating the heads off our chickens and plastic owls are not doing the trick,” David said in a YouTube video. “Our pit bull Jax killed and maimed on[e] of our pigs that was around 80lbs. With that in mind plus the many chickens Jax killed and ate we decided to give him to a friend.”
“After lots of research we came across this breed of dog called the Anatolian Shepherd,” he continued. “They are one of the most unique types of dog I have ever seen and have the best temperament and disposition of any dog I have ever owned. They are a livestock guardian breed and do not mind eating and sleeping with all our animals on The Land!”
The couple revealed the new puppies names are Buddy and Junior as David pets them and says, “I just want to cuddle you cause you’re so sweet.”
The two new additions, come after the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that no charges had been laid and they closed the investigation into the death of Nugget because they believed Jenelle made the story up for “publicity.”
“Jenelle stated that the reason she filed the animal cruelty report was for the publicity and because she did not know where her dog was,” the news release stated. “The evidence collected indicates that the allegations of animal cruelty were fabricated. Therefore, Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is closing this investigation. No charges will be filed in this case.”
Jenelle was quick to fire back at the claims from the Sheriff’s Office, stating that she never called the cops on David in the first place and is not sure what happened to Nugget because she didn’t actually see David do anything to the dog other than take him outside. Meanwhile the authorities state that Jenelle initially said she saw David take Nugget outside and then heard a gun shot, but later told them she didn’t hear or see anything.
The incident with Nugget eventually led to Jenelle getting fired from Teen Mom 2 by MTV and also led to her son Kaiser, David’s daughter Maryssa and the couple’s daughter Ensley being removed from their home for two months before they regained custody in early July.
“I feel very attacked and exploited for no reason. The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is so crooked with their business that Detective Jacobs continued to call and harass me and David for weeks, had Mr. Bill Gore send a letter to leave us alone, then had to call Detective Jacobs to tell him to stop calling both of us about the incident,” Jenelle said.
