Pregnant actress, Hayden Panettiere, has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of her baby girl and has been pretty low profile while she prepares for the newest addition of her family.

She did take some time out to speak to Hello! magazine and was very open about all aspects of pregnancy, especially the weight gain part.

Due in December, 25-year old Panettiere is really starting to feel the extra weight on her tiny frame, “I’m 5 feet, 2 inches, and I started out at 106 pounds and guess how much I weigh now? Around 145 pounds. And the worst part is that my feet are still size five and they’re going, ‘What’s going on with all this weight?’ They’re about to snap from underneath me with all the strain,” the actress joked to the magazine.

The model, actress and singer who was also an athlete attributes some of her weight gain to her time as a gymnast, “I’m still quite muscular, so if you’re running around carrying 40 pounds of extra weight, you’re going to build extra muscle,” she stated.

Of course, some of the baby weight could be attributed to the baby taking after her father as well, 6’4 Ukrainian boxer, Wladimir Klitschko, 38.

The couple met in 2009 but broke up after two years of dating but confirmed they were once again seeing each other in spring 2013 before confirming they were engaged in October of that year.

While the wedding planning has taken a backseat to baby preparations, Panettiere wants to make sure the extra weight is lost before tying the knot, “I’ll tell you one thing for sure, I am not walking down the aisle 40 pounds heavier than usual in a wedding dress with a huge pregnancy belly stitched in. Not happening,” the actress said.

Earlier in the summer Panettiere accidentally let slip her baby’s gender while on the red carpet for the Emmy Awards and now can’t wait to be a mother to her daughter, “I’m so ready to hold my baby girl. I’m going to be a very hands-on mom. I’m thrilled that I’m having a girl first because I feel like I know a lot about raising a strong woman. I feel very empowered myself and I think my daughter will, too.”

The Nashville star’s pregnancy has been written into the show for it’s third season.
