How Meghan Markle Spent Her Last Day As A Senior Working Royal In The U.K.

The Duchess visited one of her royal patronages, the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), on her last day of royal work. She visited in the morning before attending the Commonwealth Day service which marked her last official appearance.
Meghan’s last private meeting was with a group of Commonwealth and Chevening scholars as well as an ACU Blue Charter Fellow. Meghan spoke with them about important topics such as plastic pollution in the oceans, working to build more sustainable cities, improving health care, and supporting economic growth.
The group was split up by topic for their discussions, but Meghan made a comment about their commonalities. “Even though the groups are divided, everyone is connected because of this very holistic approach to tackling climate change,” she said. “I love how solution based you all are.”
For the occasion, Meghan wore a midi-length navy dress that featured a tie detail around her neck. She wore her hair in a sleek bun and her makeup glowing and fresh-faced.
Meghan and Harry made many private visits over the course of the week to tie up their work with several of their patronages. “There is a lot of goodwill—everybody’s really reassured, as the couple has gone out of their way to let everyone know that they aren’t abandoning anyone,” a royal insider shared with PEOPLE.
