Kate Middleton Just Dressed In Festive Holiday Colors For A Casual Appearance

Published on December 4, 2019.

Kate Middleton is enjoying some holiday festivities today with young children and families!

The Duchess headed to a farm in the countryside just northwest of London to pick out Christmas trees with children linked to the charity Family Action. For the occasion, the Duchess rocked the perfect combination of holiday colors: red and green! She wore a red cropped puffer layered on top of a green knit sweater and skinny jeans. For added warmth, she wore a pair of green knit socks and brown treaded boots.

“Does anyone like this one?,” Kate called out to children to help pick out Christmas trees. Aside from tree-searching, the event had quite a few other fun activities including the “Elves Enchanted Forest” where children could make holiday decorations and eco-friendly reindeer food. After all the outdoor fun, the group headed indoors to enjoy hot chocolate and write letters to Santa.

Kate’s light-hearted visit occurred just as it was announced that she would be taking over as patron of the charity Family Action. The role was passed down to her by Queen Elizabeth who has been the figurehead of the charity for 65 years. The charity helps to aid disadvantaged families and children tackle issues such as financial hardship, domestic abuse, mental health, and social isolation.

The Duchess is passionate about helping children and families during their early years, so taking over as patron of Family Action certainly aligns well with her royal work.
