Kelsey Grammer is reportedly trying to revive the popular ’90s series, Frasier.

Deadline reported that the actor has met with writers and producers to discuss reboot ideas. One idea for the new series was having the show would feature a new character played by Grammer that would live in a different city, but the revival would still draw inspiration from the original series. According to Entertainment Tonight, the project is still in the “very early” stages.

Even though Grammer is currently involved in the revival project, in 2016, he told Fox News that a Frasier reunion was unlikely, but then in July 2017, he told TV Guide that there had been talk of a revival series, but it was nothing more than talk. “There has been some talk, but it’s nothing but talk,” he said. “There are so many people that would be lined up to get their cut that even trying to finance a reboot of Frasier would be nightmarish.”

Frasier was a huge hit in the ’90s. It was a spin-off from the show Cheers and won an impressive 37 Emmy Awards during its run. The show centered on Dr. Frasier Crane (played by Grammer), a psychiatrist who moves to Seattle to start a new life as a radio host after his marriage ends.
