Despite all the hype, Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kits cosmetic company has received a low rating from customers.
In a report from the Better Business Bureau, Kylie Cosmetics has received a 1 out of 5 star rating. Since the company began operating in November 2015, the bureau has received 137 complaints. Last week, 10 people contacted the bureau after they experienced issues with customer service and product delivery. One customer found a pencil missing from the lip kit.
One dissatisfied customer wrote, “Unfortunately, I bought three lip kits which are over priced. It’s upsetting as a customer that I spent $95.95 on a product that has the same ingredients as a Colourpop Lippie. I emailed the customer service department voicing my concern over the product 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive a response.” The bureau contacted Kylie Cosmetics back in June but has failed to see an improvement in the company’s operations.
Since the Lip Kits first hit the online market, they have sold out regularly. Jenner is aware that the company needs to be more accessible for makeup lovers. On the weekend, she posted an update on her company’s Instagram page. “Hey guys – I know it hasn’t always been the easiest thing to get my lip products and you have been amazing and patient as I have been working to make more product for all my customers and fans. You have been so great about setting your alarms, posting, sharing restock time and getting on the website to get what you want before it sells out and I appreciate that so much.”
She added, “I can’t promise everything will always be available all the time but it is our goal to make sure the store is open on a more consistent basis as we are making more product every single day and adding it to the website.” She made no mention of the complaints about customer service and delivery.
