Lady Gaga Opens Up About Fans’ Obsession With Her And Bradley Cooper

Ever since 2018’s A Star Is Born was released, fans have been obsessed over the chemistry between stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. The obsession has only continued as the two have continually opened up about the intensity of their friendship and their love for one another, and it was only made worse with their romantic performance of “Shallow” at the 2019 Oscars.

On Wednesday, February 27, Gaga actually talked to Jimmy Kimmel about the performance that had everyone talking and insisted they conveyed exactly what they want to do and it was an acted performance just like in the movie. “Yes, people saw love and guess what? That’s what we wanted you to see,” the actress-singer, 32, told Kimmel.

“[Shallow] is a love song, A Star Is Born is a love story,” she explained. “It was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time… When you’re singing love songs, that’s what you want people to feel.”

She went on to compare her performances with Cooper to those she has done with duet partner Tony Bennett over the years, telling Kimmel that that her “Shallow” performance connection was no different than when she has her “arms wrapped around” Bennett while they are singing together.

“I’m an artist and I guess [Bradley and I] did a good job… fooled ya!” she added with a laugh.

Of course, many also felt that Lady Gaga’s breakup from fiancee Christian Carino, was suspicious because of the timing, but Cooper has been in a serious relationship with model Irina Shayk for years and the pair even share a daughter. Following their Oscars performance, Cooper returned to his table where he kissed and hugged Shayk.
