Lori Loughlin’s Daughters Break Social Media Silence After College Scandal For A Special Occasion

After months after complete silence following the college admissions scandal that swept the nation, Lori Loughlin’s daughters Bella Giannulli and Olivia Jade returned to social media.

On Sunday, Bella took to her Instagram to wish her mother, who is currently facing charges for her involvement in the scam, a happy birthday after she turned 55 over the weekend. “Happy birthday mama. I love you,” she captioned the black-and-white photo.

The next day, Olivia Jade, who was impacted the hardest by the scandal because of her status as a social media star, took to her Instagram to also share a birthday wish, writing, “one day late. happy birthday. i love you so much.” The post marks her first since news of the scandal broke.”

As previously reported, at only 14 years old Olivia Jade started her own YouTube channel and quickly found success. As of March 2019 she had nearly 2 million subscribers to her channel and nearly 1.5 million Instagram followers for her brand which focuses on beauty and fashion. After the scandal broke however, Olivia quickly lost many of her collaborations and partnerships including with Sephora, Tresemme and more.

Currently, Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are awaiting their court date after they plead not guilty to charges of fraud after allegedly paying $500,000 to have their daughters admitted into USC as crew team recruits, despite never have competed in crew in their lives.

Their not guilty plea came only days after actress Felicity Huffman along with 13 other defendants opted to plead guilty in the case.

I am pleading guilty to the charge brought against me by the United States Attorney’s Office,” Huffman shared. “I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions.”

“I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community,” she continued. “I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly.”

“My daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions, and in my misguided and profoundly wrong way, I have betrayed her. This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life. My desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty.”
