The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle took a trip down memory lane this Commonwealth Day!

The Duke and Duchess visited Canada House in London where a group of Canadians showed them how they make maple taffy using syrup cooled on snow.  The purpose of the event was to celebrate the diverse community of young Canadians living in London and around the U.K. While filming Suits in her former role as an actress, the Duchess used to live in Toronto, so we’re quite certain this event likely brought up some feelings of nostalgia for her.

For the occasion, the expecting Duchess stepped out wearing a striking emerald look, which felt quite appropriate with St.  Patrick’s Day around the corner. The fabulous green coat was also a strategic pick based on the event since it was designed by Canadian designer Erdem. We absolutely love the black floral decals that embellished the neckline and sleeve of this coat which added a touch of glitz. She completed the look with a pair of her go-to Aquazzura heels and carried a small Givenchy clutch in hand. For her beauty look, the Duchess opted for a voluminous side bun and a minimal makeup look that really allowed the details of the coat to shine.
