After revealing in early November that his three-year-old son Noah had been diagnosed with cancer, singer Michael Buble is now sharing an update with fans.

At the time that Buble and his wife Luisana Lopilato announced the diagnosis they said that they would both be stepping away from their careers and asked for privacy while their family dealt with the difficult time. Now, Buble’s rep has issued a statement which the singer also shared on his Facebook page to update his fans and well-wishers.

“We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy,” the statement reads. “He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. We thank God for the strength he has given all of us. Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words. We’d like to thank the thousands of people that have sent their prayers and good wishes to us. As we continue this journey we are greatly comforted by your support and love.”

The family has not provided details on what type of cancer Noah was diagnosed with; however, in early December, reports from the Daily Mail indicated that the three-year-old was suffering from liver cancer and would be undergoing chemotherapy to shrink a tumor on his liver until it was small enough for doctors to perform surgery.
