Nick Cannon Opens Up About Split From Mariah Carey

Since Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s split, both stars have stayed very quiet, making it almost impossible to determine if the split was for real for awhile.

However, after rumors of each dating other people, a very brash lyric change by Mariah and a huge cover-up tattoo on Nick’s back it seems the two are coming closer to discussing the separation.

For the very first time since they broke up, Nick Cannon finally spoke out, stating, “I’m just taking everything one day at a time and just being the best person that I can possibly be at the end of the day.”

In the same interview, the America’s Got Talent host was asked about the now very public tattoo cover-up to which he responded, “It wasn’t supposed to be revealed yet…I didn’t know there were there, that’s how sneaky paparazzi are.”

With his twins overseas with Mariah as she is on tour, Cannon says they are doing well and even had nice things to say about his megastar ex, “I just wish her nothing but the best… She’s not worried, we’re not worried, just going to keep pushing.”

While he was nothing but cordial, he didn’t respond to the part of her concert where she seemingly aimed profanities at him, however it is nice to see Hollywood couples who can stay friends for the best of their children.
