With less than two months to go before one of the biggest royal weddings in history takes place, Kensington Palace has kept Royal watchers and fans up to date, and have given the first look at the official invitations for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May 19th nuptials.

“Invitations to the wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle, which will take place at Windsor Castle on May 19, have been issued in the name of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.
Guests have been invited to the service at St George’s Chapel and to the lunchtime reception at St George’s Hall, which is being given by Her Majesty The Queen,” Kensington Palace shared on its social media platforms. “The invitations follow many years of Royal tradition and have been made by @barnard_and_westwood. They feature the Three-Feathered Badge of the Prince of Wales printed in gold ink.  @pa”

The palace also shared a photo of the stunning invites which read, “His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales requests the pleasure of the company of ______ at the marriage of his royal highness Prince Henry of Wales with Ms. Meghan Markle at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on Saturday, 19th May 2018 at 12 noon followed by a reception at Windsor Castle.”

The invitation also says “Dress: Uniform. Morning coat or lounge suit, day dress with hat.

Since many were so curious about the gorgeous invitations, Kensington Palace went on to share details and videos of the process of making them on Twitter. “Lottie Small, who recently completed her apprenticeship, printed all of the invitations in a process known as die stamping, on a machine from the 1930s that she affectionately nicknamed Maude,” they shared, noting, “using American ink on English card, the invitations are printed in gold and black, then burnished to bring out the shine, and gilded around the edge.”

A number close to 600 people have been incited to the service and luncheon while a smaller 200 guests will attend a private reception given by Prince Charles at Frogmore house.
