Rachel Leigh Cook has joined the cast of the reimagined remake of She’s All That.

The actress has joined the cast of the upcoming teen film He’s All That, which will be a reimagined remake of Cook’s 1999 classic She’s All That. The remake will be a gender-swapped version of the film.

The film, starring Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan, shared the news of Cook joining the cast on Instagram on Monday. They shared a photo of Cook and Rae sitting next to each other on set. “Look who’s back! Rachael Leigh Cook (@rachaelleighcook) joins the #HesAllThat family, playing Padgett’s (@addisonraee) wise and caring mother,” the caption explained.

In the film, Cook will be playing the mother of Padgett Sawyer (Addison Rae), a popular girl and influencer who attempts to turn an unpopular boy, Cameron Kweller (Ian Buchanan) into the prom king.

Fans will recall a similar storyline from the original She’s All That where Cook played the unpopular high school girl Laney Boggs, who was transformed into the prom queen by popular jock, Zack Siler (Freddie Prinze Jr.). It’s unclear as to whether Cook is actually reprising her role as Laney, who is now a mother, or if her character is new in the remake.

“I’m thrilled to be reunited with so many familiar faces!” Cook shared in a Miramax press statement. “This version has a great new spin that I think people will really enjoy.”
