Rory Gibson Has Been Recast As Noah Newman On Y&R

Published on September 2, 2021.

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) has recast the role of Noah Newman with Rory Gibson.

A newcomer to daytime television, Gibson has credits in television movies such as A Night to Regret and Twisted Twin. He has also been seen in Severed Road and the short film, Grace.

Gibson has joined the cast for taping and will debut as the son of legacy characters Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) this fall.

By the time Gibson’s first episodes air, it will have been over a year since Noah Newman was on the Y&R canvas. The character was last seen in September 2020, when played by actor Robert Adamson, who had several stints in the role.

Noah first appeared on the CBS soap in 1997 and has been played most memorably by Hunter Allan (2005-2008), Kevin Schmidt (2008-2010, 2011-2012) and Luke Kleintank (2010-2011). Other actors have filled the role for shorter durations, as well.

Gibson won’t be the only fresh face to join Sharon and Nick’s family as of late; earlier this year, their other child, Faith, was recently recast when Reylynn Caster took over for departing actress Alyvia Alyn Lind.

Noah will return to a significantly different social landscape in Genoa City. His ex, Tessa, is now with Mariah, his half-sister is now living in Italy, and his Uncle Adam is now a reformed and successful member of the family. Naturally, his paternal grandfather, Victor Newman, remains as controlling as ever, so let’s hope Noah has made peace with that by now!
