Sharon Osbourne Slams Kim K For Dressing North In Fur

Many celebrities have taken up arms against issues they feel strongly about and many of them are strong supporters of animal rights and the fight against animal cruelty.

Sharon Osbourne has always been outspoken and not afraid of a conflict so it is not surprising that she called out another huge celebrity for her penchant to not only wearing fur herself but also for dressing up her young daughter in it as well.

“I know PETA has asked the Kardashians to stop [wearing fur]. North isn’t an accessory – she shouldn’t be wearing ugly couture clothes,” Osbourne stated via Yahoo! of Kim’s fashion choices for her daughter.

As the daughter of two of the most recognizable celebrities in the world, at 20-months old North West probably has a bigger and better closet than many of us could ever imagine and Osbourne pointed out that money is the problem.

“[Fur] makes me physically sick, and wearing it is a very dated way of showing everyone how rich you are. Our grandparents did it, but now we’ve been educated, it’s cruel to keep the trade going.”

The fact that Osbourne equates wearing fur as a statement of wealth is interesting because only a few days ago, North’s dad, Kanye West gave a speech in which he addressed that fashion should be affordable for all.

“There should never be a $5000 sweater,” he stated while recalling his own middle class upbringing, I guess the rules don’t apply for his own daughter however.
