Big screen celebrities get a lot of recognition, but the Emmy Awards are all about honoring the best of the best in small-screen hits. September 20, 2015 will see the 67th annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Fox and this year might be the most watched yet. Thanks to streaming services, namely Netflix, television has seen not only a resurgence in quality programs as well as a huge audience, but a huge boost in the number of series in each drama, making the Emmys more competitive than ever. Another big change that has been occuring in television that has increased fandom is the rise of major Hollywood movie stars making their way back to the small screen with shows like House of Cards and True Detective. With Orange Is the New Black now competing in drama and so many talented actors and actresses dominating so many good shows, the competition both individually and for entire series is tough. Huge snub: Jim Parsons was not nominated for comedy actor in Big Bang Theory.
