‘The Masked Singer’ Reveals Celebrity Behind KittyPublished on May 7, 2020.
On Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer, we finally arrived at season three’s quarterfinals with remaining contestants Frog, Kitty, Night Angel, Rhino and Turtle who competed against each other for a slot in the final four. Comedian Jeff Dye joined as a guest panelist to help make the tough decision of who should be sent home alongside returning judges Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke.

After each individual performance, the masked celebrities presented contents of a “borrowed” package from their homes in hopes that their clues would present additional hints about their identity. Turtle’s clue package confused all the judges by presenting them with a zombie, but when it came to their performance of Coldplay’s “Fix You,” some panelists thought that this costumed star could win the whole competition. “That’s my favorite one, man,” Jeong told Dye. “I think he’s gonna take it all.”
Scherzinger agreed with Jeong’s remarks, adding, “That was the best performance so far of the season and right now you have guaranteed your spot in the final.”
However, McCarthy thought the trophy should go to Night Angel, who performed Donna Summer’s “Last Dance.” “You are gonna take this mask home if I was the only judge here,” she told the masked singer.
After the audience’s vote was counted, Turtle and Angel secured a spot in the final four. Unfortunately, our feline friend Kitty received the least amount of votes this week. The panelists gave their final guesses, ranging from Vanessa Hudgens, Anna Kendrick, Lea Michele, Ashley Tisdale to the Olsen Twins.
However, the panelists were wrong in their guesses as the celebrity behind Kitty was none other than Jackie Evancho!
“I wanted to show a different side of myself,” the 20-year-old America’s Got Talent star said, referring to why she wanted to be on The Masked Singer.
She also thanked the judges after being revealed. “Without you, I don’t think I would have discovered where I want to take my career and who I want to represent myself as in the future,” Evancho said.
The Masked Singer airs on Fox on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
