The Royal Family Reunites For Commonwealth Day And Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Last Royal Appearance
Published on March 9, 2020.The royal family has come together on Commonwealth Day!
This event marks the last official public engagement that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will make as senior members of the royal family.
Unlike in years past, Meghan, Harry, Kate, and William were not part of the Queen’s procession and were instead led to their seats before the Queen. The opening procession began with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and husband Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. Next was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle, followed by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, and Kate Middleton.
For the special occasion, Meghan Markle opted for a monochrome emerald look by Emilia Wickstead which consisted of a midi-length dress and a cape which wrapped around her shoulders. She topped the look with a matching fascinator, nude heels and a handheld deep green bag. For her beauty look, Meghan opted for a sophisticated updo and natural, glowing makeup. Harry stood beside her looking quite dapper himself in a navy suit.
Kate Middleton and Prince William followed shortly behind them in the procession. Kate opted for a muted berry shade look which consisted of her signature A-line shape coat dress. She topped the look with a matching berry-toned clutch, heels and fascinator. William stood beside her in a navy suit and matched his tie to the colors of Kate’s ensemble.
