Tony Danza And Alyssa Milano Confirm ‘Who’s The Boss?’ Sequel In The Works

Who’s The Boss? is returning to television!
An updated version of the ’80s sitcom is reportedly in the works as announced by Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano, who starred on the original show for eight seasons.
“Excited to bring The Micelli family back to television! #WhosTheBoss,” Danza tweeted alongside a throwback shot of himself and Milano.
Milano also expressed her excitement for the sequel on Instagram. “ANNOUNCEMENT I AM SO EXCITED! #WhosTheBoss is coming back!!!” she shared alongside a few red siren emojis.
“I’ve wanted to share this for so long and now I can!” Milano continued. “We feel the time is right to tell the story of where these amazing characters are today. Can’t wait to share their stories with you. So happy.”
According to Deadline, Sony Pictures Television is currently developing the project as a sequel to Who’s the Boss?. Both Danza and Milano are set to reprise their roles as father and daughter Tony and Samantha Micelli. The pair will also executive produce the show along with Norman Lear, Brent Miller, and Dan Farah.
Who’s the Boss? was created by Martin Cohan and Blake Hunter and ran from 1984 to 1992 on ABC. The revival is set to take place 30 years after the events of Who’s the Boss? and will center around Samantha’s new life as a single mother and her relationship with her retired father. The revival will also take place in the same house where the original was set.
