Y&R Head Writer Previews The Return Of Jeremy Stark

Guess where Jeremy Stark is headed as soon as he gets released from prison? You know it: Genoa City!

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) head writer Josh Griffith has revealed Stark’s return in the new issue of Soap Opera Digest (SOD), as actor James Hyde reprises the sinister role. And just when everything was going so well for Diane…

“[Jack and Kyle’s] vow to protect her means everything to Diane,” Griffith stated. “However, Diane’s success is interrupted by the reality that Jeremy Stark may come to town.”

In an effort to oust Ms. Jenkins, Nikki and Phyllis are very intent on bringing the convict to Genoa City. However, Diane hasn’t explained why she’s so fearful of Stark.

“Diane promises that the ‘Trifecta’ [Phyllis, Nikki and Ashley] are playing with fire,” Griffith continued. “She knows that these women have no idea of the consequences of revealing her whereabouts to Jeremy.”

It looks as though viewers will find out what those consequences are soon enough! A spoiler photo in the SOD issue shows Diane looking worried as Stark appears at the doorstep of the Abbott mansion.

Confirming that Jeremy is determined to settle “unfinished business”, Griffith added that his arrival will put “the entire Abbott family in danger”.

This will be Hyde’s first appearance on the CBS soap since his debut in a flashback scene last month.
