Y&R’s Amelia Heinle Deletes Instagram Post Containing Major Spoiler

Published on October 25, 2021.

It’s always fun to see soap stars sharing candid photos on the set. However, when you’re taping at least a month in advance of airdates, it behooves one to double-check a photo for spoilers before making it public!

On Monday, October 25th, Amelia Heinle posted a fun photo from The Young and the Restless (Y&R) set on her Instagram page. It featured her sleeping (or pretending to sleep) on a couch at the Grand Phoenix Hotel set, while Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) and Jess Walton (Jill Abbott) smile over her.

Seeing fan-favorite Jess Walton back on the set (for the first time since her husband passed away) was already a huge treat for fans, but the post became even more noteworthy when intrepid Y&R fans spotted a banner in the background with the word “Chance!”.

Since the writing on the banner is a rather celebratory font and the exclamation mark would seem a bit tone-deaf in a funeral setting — “Rest in peace, Chance!” just doesn’t feel right — it would appear that Chance will be returning to Y&R in the near future!

The Instagram post was soon-after deleted by Heinle, but fans have screen-grabbed the image.

This news comes hot on the heels of last week’s cliffhanger, in which Abby (Melissa Ordway) was informed that Chance (previously played by Donny Boaz) was caught up in an explosion and believed deceased.

While viewers will be intrigued to learn about Chance’s return on-screen, it’ll be just as interesting to find out whether Donny Boaz has indeed returned to the show, or a recast has been hired to fill the role.
