Young And The Restless Plotline Predictions For The Next Two Weeks (January 17 – 28, 2022)

What kind of role will Mariah play in Devon’s custody battle against Chance and Abby? Will she accept Tessa’s proposal? What does Copeland have to tell Porter before they officially become engaged? There’s nothing The Young and the Restless (Y&R) fans love more than speculating on storylines. As such, below are some Y&R plotline predictions for January 17th to 28th, 2022.

12. Mariah Jumps On #TeamDevon

Y&R spoilers reveal that Mariah and Devon will have a strategy session sometime during the week of January 17th. It’s highly unlikely that this has to do with a new project or work of some sort. This teaser has “baby Dominic’s shared custody agreement” written all over it. Will Mariah help Hamilton get his fair time with the little one?

11. More Than Just “Support”

Could Mariah join the legal battle with Devon? There’s always strength in numbers. She’s desperately wanted more time with Dominic but has been fluffed aside by Abby. Do these two have a chance with this court case or will it be a waste of time? Not to mention, there’s the risk of getting zero access to the baby when all is said and done.

10. Will Tessa Be Brought Into The Loop?

There’s a good chance that Mariah will visit Devon this week just to offer support and see how he’s doing. During that visit, she could get wrapped up in strategy and even the custody battle itself. During this week’s Y&R preview video, Tessa proposes to her girlfriend in a highly romantic setting. Copeland is blown away and completely caught off guard. She is about to say “yes”, but before she answers, Mariah tells Porter that there’s “something” she needs to tell her. Is this about Devon and his custody suit?

9. Could This Upset Tessa?

Mariah’s been doing very well as of late. She’s beginning to move on from her surrogate stint and is a lot less preoccupied with Dominic. As such, this couple has made tremendous strides. They are finally over a huge hurdle and focusing on their future, which includes building a family of their own. If Mariah decides to join Devon’s custody case, or even support it on any level, could Tessa feel as if they are taking a giant leap backwards? Could the proposal be retracted?

8. Cracks In “Teriah”

Proposals, strategy, and baby custody talk will all happen during the week of January 17th. Could this drama create cracks in Tessa and Mariah’s relationship, come the week of January 24th? Will Tessa turn to Noah for some advice, support or comfort? He’ll gladly be a shoulder to cry on for his ex-girlfriend. Could this be the beginning of the end for Tessa and Mariah?

7. The Band Is Back Together!

Okay, so maybe two men don’t necessarily equal out to an entire “band”, but it looks as if Michael and Victor will join forces again this week. Remember when Baldwin worked for the Moustache many moons ago? Will fans be privy to a vintage throwback when these two come back together? Y&R spoilers for this week suggest that Victor will approach Michael with a “challenge”. Added teasers hint this is all in an attempt to protect the Newman legacy. With Michael’s help, there’s a good chance Victor will succeed.

6. Just Like The Good Ol’ Days

Longtime Y&R fans will remember that when Michael worked as a corporate lawyer for Newman Enterprises, there were many times he couldn’t bring Lauren into the loop when it came to job details. Spoilers for this week hint at this nostalgia, as Baldwin will leave Lauren in the dark about something. Maybe he doesn’t want to tell her he’s working again (or working with Victor again). After all, he JUST retired! Or maybe he isn’t giving her details about the Newman job.

5. Newman Media And Newman Enterprises

Will the Moustache agree to Vic’s deal around placing Newman Media under the Newman-Locke umbrella? Could he decide to do this behind Adam’s back? Has he asked Michael to handle the ins and out of this deal? As the week progresses, Victor will launch a plan of attack. Then, added teasers for the week of January 24th imply that Newman will “iron out” a major venture. Meanwhile, that week, Baldwin will head back to his roots. Before his stint as a D.A., Michael was amazing at corporate law and contract negotiation. Victor knows this, and it would explain why Newman approached him for this “power deal”.

4. Adam Is Onto Them

Y&R spoilers for the week of January 17th state that Billy and Adam will come to an agreement. If Adam finds out what Vic and Victor are up to, the gloves will be off. He may even approach Abbott about this, telling him what Victoria told her dad (that she was the reason behind his “white flag” truce). Adam may apologize for all their past conflict and be ready to inflict some revenge on his dad and sister. Will Billy be up for it?

3. Game On!

Billy shouldn’t make a deal with Adam, but he will. He’ll be outraged when he realizes what Vicky has done. He’ll agree to a partnership with Adam to bring the Moustache and Vic down; however, he’ll decide to keep all of this from Lily. In fact, both he and Adam will note that they need to keep their newfound understanding under wraps for this plan to work.

2. Chelsea Plots, Rey Stops

Meanwhile, it sounds as if Chelsea will try to plot some sort of revenge against Sally Spectra this week. Rey will likely (accidentally) stumble across what Lawson is up to and try to stop her from proceeding. He’ll reason with her that she’s better than this and too good for Adam, anyways. Plus, she needs to do better and be better for Connor’s sake. There seems to be an interesting friendship brewing between these two, and Rosales will prove to be a good influence on Chelsea.

1. What Does Nikki See?

Lastly, Y&R spoilers for the week of January 17th indicate that Ashland will get caught in a compromising position by Nikki. Added teasers for the week of January 24 note that momma bear Newman will issue a warning to someone — likely Locke. Will she catch her son-in-law flirting with another woman or worse? Could this have to do with his health? It may be something minor; however, winter spoilers have stated that Ashland has one more hidden secret from Vicky that he hasn’t revealed. This could be the door that opens this storyline up.
