Goodbye April, hello May sweeps! What should The Young and the Restless (Y&R) viewers expect to see unfold during the next four weeks or so? 12. Give It Up Already!

Y&R spoilers for May sweeps reveal that Ashland is far from throwing in the towel where Victoria is concerned. Added teasers suggest that Locke lingering around will drive the Moustache crazy. After all, Victor paid a pretty penny to run him out of town! Sounds like Vic will also struggle with her feelings as she realizes that Locke is a liar — but he’s the liar she’s still in love with.

11. New CEO

Meanwhile, Y&R spoilers imply that some inner family Newman drama will surface. Added teasers indicate that Victoria will throw a curveball and promote Nikki as co-CEO of the company, knocking Adam out of the picture. After everything he’s done to prove himself to her and the rest of the Newmans, this will be a major blow for him.

10. Adam’s Not The Only One Upset

Y&R spoilers for May sweeps reveal that both Adam and Sally will be quite upset about the entire CEO thing. Much like Newman, Spectra will believe that her boyfriend — having gone above and beyond for his family and the company — deserves the co-CEO spot. The silver lining for “Sadam” is that their romance will continue to strengthen this month, so at least they’ll have each other.

9. Nick’s World

Y&R spoilers for May state that Nick will be very busy. He won’t only keep an eye on his family business (and Adam), but he’ll also continue to be a major support for Sharon. In fact, added teasers note that he’ll become her rock as she heals over Rey’s passing. In other news, Chelsea will also struggle with the loss of Rey but try to put her best foot forward.

8. Chance Honors His Friend

Y&R spoilers imply that Chance will try to resolve all of Rey’s old cases, in an effort to honor his friend. Added teasers suggest that this will also help Chancellor with his own emotional recovery journey, and give him something to focus on. Sounds like some stunners are on the horizon for Chance, as he tries to solve some of Genoa City’s mysteries.

7. Forgive, But Not Forget

Across town, Y&R spoilers hint that Diane will have an uphill battle when it comes to earning Kyle’s trust in May. That isn’t to say he won’t forgive his mom, as added teasers note the two will start to reform a bond; however, it’ll be a very slow process. In other news, Diane could place a wedge between Phyllis and Jack as they, too, inch closer to a reunion.

6. Summertime In May!

Y&R spoilers state that the Summer Newman-Abbott role has been recast, and actress Allison Lanier is set to take over the part in May. While most viewers will be thrilled that Summer is back, added teasers note there will be issues between her and Diane, which is not overly surprising. Summer is her mother’s daughter!

5. Wedding Time!

Mark Friday, May 13th on the calendar, as Mariah and Tessa are set to say their “I do’s”. Unlike most weddings on soap operas, it sounds like this one will be pretty drama-free — in other words, a fun party! While everyone will have Rey on their minds, “Teriah” moving forward with their nuptials is the best thing to do. Rosales would’ve wanted it that way.

4. Special Anniversary Show

Actress Kate Linder, also known as Esther Valentine, will be celebrating 40 years in Genoa City this month. Y&R spoilers indicate that there is something “special” in the works, so there will likely be an episode that centers around Esther and her history in the little town. Expect fun flashbacks and memories!

3. Trouble With The Baldwins

On a sad note, Y&R spoilers for May sweeps suggest that Lauren will continue to worry about Michael and his connection to Victor. Mainly, she’ll have problems about the work he’s been doing for Newman as of late. Added teasers hint that she’ll try to support her husband; however, with everything he’s been through (looking at you, Peruvian prison), she won’t be able to shake her concern that easily.

2. Nate And Elena Struggle

The Baldwins won’t be the only super couple with issues this May. Y&R spoilers suggest that Elena and Nate could face some bumps along the road, as Hastings throws himself into his new role. Working side-by-side with Imani might also cause problems for the two, as Amanda’s sister seems determined to snag Elena’s boyfriend out from under her!

1. A New Connection For Billy

Y&R spoilers indicate that Billy will feel like an “outsider” amid the new company dynamics, as everyone else has a family connection but him. Added teasers hint at an unexpected new connection that he’s set to form with someone. Will Billy form a friendship or romantic bond with someone? Could this affect his relationship with Lily?
