Days Of Our Lives: Plotline Predictions For Summer 2021

The days are longer, the sunshine brighter, and things seem that much more exciting in Salem come the summertime! How long will Kate keep up her charade? Will Chanel and Allie cross a line in the coming months? Will Cin ever reunite (in this lifetime)? So many questions, so few answers! As such, below are some Days of Our Lives (DOOL) plotline predictions for the summer of 2021.

12. E.J.’s Plan

DOOL spoilers hint that E.J. DiMera has a plan for this summer, which is to make things right with Sami and regain power at DiMera Enterprises. He’ll try and recruit Chad and Tony when it comes to company politics; however, could he also crack a deal with Kate? Roberts is bent on getting back at Jake and Gabi for reuniting so quickly — and during her hostage situation with Kristen, no less! Kate would certainly be intrigued to help E.J. overthrow Jake, who’s currently running Stefano’s company.

11. Kate Will Pull Out All The Stops

Kate will pull out all the stops when it comes to her current plan. She’ll milk her blindness and amnesia for all its worth to get under Gabi’s skin and keep Jabi apart. However, in the process, she’ll also help E.J. with his plan. She may even let him in on her “secret”. She can gather so much more information on Jake if he thinks she’s blind.

10. Chanel and Allie

Across town, DOOL summer spoilers reveal that Allie and Chanel will get closer in the coming months as they work on their business together. While Allie has been adamant that she’s only “friends” with Chanel, could these two cross a line? They will be spending more time together! Perhaps, Chanel gets Allie drunk and takes advantage? Or they could accidentally get “caught up in a moment” when they are both drunk?

9. Chanel and Eli

Then, there’s the idea that something happens between Chanel and Eli. With two *awkward* encounters under their belts, anything is possible. Chanel seems like a spoiled and selfish “party girl”, but she also genuinely cares for Lani. In this circumstance, it’s unlikely that Chanel will proactively try and do something with Eli, but the two could also get caught up in a moment while alcohol is involved.

8. Johnny DiMera Becomes A Love Interest

Could Johnny DiMera be a love interest for Chanel? He’s set to return to the land of Salem soon. With him being Allie’s twin, this could create a complicated dynamic. After all, if Johnny is interested in Chanel, and Chanel is interested in Allie, this would be a love triangle Days fans have never seen. Then, there’s the idea that Chanel likes Johnny back, but she and Allie get together on a whim or have a one-night stand. They’ll struggle to hide what they’ve done from both Tripp and Johnny.

7. Sami Versus Nicole

Speaking of trying to hide one-night stands, DOOL summer spoilers reveal that Nicole and Sami’s feud will heat up over the coming months. Sami’s trying to expose Nicole’s affair with Xander; however, Walker will soon learn that Mrs. E.J. DiMera hasn’t been as faithful as she should be. Who could spill the beans to Nicole? Or does she overhear a conversation that leads her to believe that Lucas and Sami spent the night (actually, multiple nights) together?

6. Be Careful What You Wish For

Eric is set to return to Salem soon, as actor Greg Vaughan will reprise the role. DOOL spoilers tease that while Nicole has wanted Eric to return for quite a while now, things won’t be as “ideal” as she thought they’d be. Nicole will be scrambling to ensure Eric doesn’t learn about her one-nighter with Xander, but will these two also fumble along the way as they get re-accustomed to living together? Maybe Eric has picked up some bad habits over the past few months away? Perhaps the “magic” has escaped their relationship? Maybe, he’s had an affair and is hiding it, too.

5. Another Murder Mystery

The DOOL summer preview video reveals there could be a murder mystery on the horizon, as Claire, Allie, Tripp and Ben will find a body in the lake when they visit the beach. Who could be on the chopping block? One guess is Dr. Snyder. He’s racking up enemies, left, right and center! It may even get to the point where Kayla or Tripp are suspects; perhaps Gwen and Xander, too.

4. Jack’s Friend and Daughter Hook Up

Speaking of Gwen and Xandy, the very same Days summer preview video hints that Xander and Gwen will get together. They may be on opposite sites right now, but fans need to give it a few weeks. Could DOOL decide to bring Sarah back (at the end of the summer, early fall), just as Xander has finally gotten over her and found love somewhere else? Anything is possible in the land of Salem.

3. Jennifer Returns

Pure speculation, as nothing has been reported or confirmed as of this writing; however, back in March, DOOL’s head writer, Ron Carlivati noted that Jennifer Horton would be back on the canvas “at some point”. He did not confirm whether Jenn would return in the form of actress Melissa Reeves or Cady McClain, but she would be coming back. Sounds like Jennifer, along with Abby, should be making her return later on in the summer, in and around August. Summer would be the perfect time to bring Jennifer Horton home! Either way, Jack will be happy to see her again!

2. Hope For Cin

Ciara will return in late July, as actress Victoria Konefal reprises her popular Days character. Head writer Ron Carlivati says there’s hope for a Ciara and Ben reunion; however, apparently what brings her to Salem is that she’ll demand Ben signs their divorce papers. Sounds like Weston will give romancing his wife one last go. Can he jog her memory without Theo in the picture?

1. Things Get Hot!

Another tease from the DOOL summer preview video is an apparent fire. It seems that it could happen in the Elani household, or somewhere else, as the “fire” sequences filter in and out of scenes that were shown. Could Ciara have to deal with another fire? Could Ben save her? With Ben and Claire getting closer this summer, if Ciara is caught in a fire, could Claire be the one behind it?
