16. Beyonce
In the entertainment world, Beyonce is considered royalty, but in reality, she’s got some pretty blue blood. She’s related to Queen Elizabeth II. They are 25th cousins, once removed. They are related through Henry II, who was King of England from 1154 to 1189.

Johnny Depp is Hollywood royalty and he’s also believed to be related to Queen Elizabeth II. One branch of his family tree descended from Sir William Gascoigne and his wife Margaret Percy, a descendant of King Edward III, who ruled England and was Lord of Ireland from 1327 to 1377.

Ralph and Joseph Fiennes have English, Irish and Scottish ancestry and some surprising royal relations as well! They are related to Prince Charles through James II of Scotland, who ruled as the King of Scots from 1437 to 1460.

Guy Richie’s royal connection is to none other than Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton! They are sixth cousins and are related through David Martineau, a surgeon from Norwich, Norfolk, who lived from 1726 to 1768.

This Oscar-winning actor is related to a number of historically important individuals including 14 former U.S. presidents. He’s also related to the royal family. He is a descendant of King John, who ruled England from 1199 to 1216, which means he’s Queen Elizabeth’s 24th cousin.

Like her ex-husband, Guy Richie, Madonna has a royal connection. She’s related to Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles through French carpenter Zacharie Cloutier, who settled in New France, Quebec, in 1634, and whose family went on to become one of the most influential in Canada.

Although this president faced many questions about his lineage, he has undeniable connections to royalty. The former president of the United States has royal ties to European rulers William the Lion of Scotland and Edward I of England. Despite this, Obama takes an equal stance on achieving success in America: “We need to steer clear of this poverty of ambition, where people want to drive fancy cars and wear nice clothes and live in nice apartments but don’t want to work hard to accomplish these things. Ellen Degeneres may be talk show royalty, but she also has real royal connections. Ellen Degeneres descends from of King Edward III and is also distant cousins with Kate Middleton. The playful talk show host and former American Idol Judge is the 19th cousin, twice removed from the Queen.

These critically acclaimed siblings not only are stellar actors, but they are also blue-bloods. Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal patrilineally descend from Edward III, the King of England. He ruled England from 1327 until 1377. This makes the siblings 19th cousins of Queen Elizabeth.

While this heiress might act like a royal, she actually has royal ties. The reality TV star turned DJ is a descendant of King Henry II. She is also the 20th cousin to the Queen. Hilton certainly feels like royalty. She told Yahoo News: “There’s nobody in the world like me. I think every decade has an iconic blonde — like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana — and right now, I’m that icon.”

While Brad Pitt may be a dominant force in Hollywood, he also has royal connections. Pitt descends from King Henry II. King Henry governed England from 1154 to 1189. He is also the 25th cousin of the Queen, twice removed. Pitt is uneasy with being considered American royalty. He said, ”Fame makes you feel permanently like a girl walking past construction workers.”

This actress found fame in the ’80s and recently found out about her royal lineage. Brooke Shields discovered that she was related to King VI of France on the genealogy television show, Who do you think you are? The actress is the 18th cousin, once removed of the Queen.

Celine Dion is related to actual royalty. She’s the 10th cousin of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Charles’ wife. They both descend from a 17th-century French-Canada family, the Cloutiers. She’s not the only celebrity who is related to the Cloutiers. Madonna is as well!

The Cinderella Story actress also has royal connections. Hilary Duff descends from King Edward III of England, who ruled England and Ireland from 1327 to 1377. Queen Elizabeth is also a descendant of King Edward III, which makes Duff an 18th cousin of the Queen!

This Hollywood stunner is also related to royalty. Angelina Jolie is a descendant of Philip II of France through her mother, Marcheline Betrand. Philip II was King of France from 1180 to 1223. Queen Elizabeth is also related to Philip II, which makes her and Jolie 26th cousins!
