CMT Music Awards 2017: 5 Best Dressed Stars
Published on June 8, 2017.The CMT Music Awards are one Nashville’s most star-studded evenings. On Wednesday, June 7, all of our favorite country stars came together at the Music City Center to honor those who’d been nominated and to find out who would be the lucky winners! One of the best parts about any award show is the fashion on the red carpet, and last night did not disappoint! Here are 5 of the best dressed stars at last night’s CMT awards:
5. Kelsea Ballerini
Even though she didn’t win, Kelsea Ballerini was nominated for Video of the Year and Social Superstar of the Year which is a pretty amazing feat for a new artist! The “Peter Pan” singer looked stunning in a white satin cut-out dress from Haney with a contrasting navy bandeau. She went for a more simple hair-do by simply wearing it straight and tucked behind her ears, painted her nails dark to go with the navy accents and then wore some gold, strappy heels.

The gorgeous Nashville actress and “Little by Little” singer is known for sporting a very feminine boho-chic look. On someone else this cream-colored dress might have washed out their complexion, but not Clare Bowen! She supported her co-star, Charles Esten, who hosted last night’s evening, in a floral embellished dress with a pink ruffle at the bottom. She paired the dress with silver accents in her heels, and jewelry, and swept her short hair back into an up do with some feathers at the back!

Lauren Akins was absolutely glowing on the red carpet. She proudly showed off her growing baby bump alongside her husband, Thomas Rhett, who not only performed, but was also nominated for several awards last night! She looked breezy with her hair down in loose curls and a long, green satin gown. The cute couple are new parents to adoptive daughter, Willa, and are expecting a baby girl in August!

The “Vice” singer who was nominated for Female Video of the Year and Video of the Year at last night’s award show, walked the red carpet alongside her boyfriend Anderson East. Miranda Lambert is often seen sporting an edgy, rocker look, but still looking feminine at the same time. She kept with her signature look by sporting a black David Koma mini dress with metallic accents. She completed the look with a shimmering silver clutch, loose curls, and black heels with metallic studs.

As per usual, Carrie Underwood looked amazing on the red carpet last night. We’re happy she found some time off between cheering for her husband on the Nashville Predators to attend the CMT Awards, and it’s lucky she did because she had a pretty exciting evening! She won Female Video of the Year for her single “Church Bells” and Collaborative Video of the Year for her song “The Fighter” with Keith Urban. The former American Idol winner ditched the ball gown for a more simple, but still glamorous look. She wore an Elie Madi dress with a sheer, embellished top and a feathery skirt. She paired the outfit with a simple up do, dangling earrings and strappy heels.
