7. Mitchell Ryan Has Passed Away
Despite not being a household name, Mitchell Ryan carved a unique path through Hollywood over six decades. While viewers might recall his portrayal of Frank Smith on GH from 1993 to 1994, he had memorable roles in film (Lethal Weapon) and prime time television (Dharma & Greg). Most of all, he’ll be remembered for playing Burke Devllin in Dark Shadows: The Vampire Curse. As The Hollywood Reporter notes, he passed away at 88 years of age.

5. Ryan Paevey On Finola Hughes
Nowadays, the general consensus around Ryan Paevey is that he’s a much-missed presence on GH. But Paevey is quick to remind viewers that his early days on the ABC soap were very divisive. “[Twitter users] were so quick to remind me on a minute-by-minute, daily basis about what a terrible actor I was,” Paevey recently shared with Soaps.com. “I didn’t really know what I was doing.”
Luckily, his character’s job at the PCPD meant that Paevey’s frequent scene partner was Finola Hughes – and he can’t say enough good things about her. “She took me aside almost on a daily basis to impart something,” Paevey added, “even if it was just to say, ‘You’re doing great.’ I was really fortunate to get to start with her.”

4. Throwing The Tension Out
Olivia recently told Sam and Carly that they needed to get away from the drama for a day – but we think the change of pace did wonders for Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), Kelly Monaco (Sam) and Laura Wright (Carly), too! “So much fun,” Wright said of their axe-throwing adventures on Instagram.

3. Pickleball!
No wonder these GH stars stay so fit! Laura Wright also shared some photos from a pickleball match between Wes Ramsey (Peter), Cameron Mathison (Drew), Cynthia Watros (Nina), Katelyn MacMullen (Willow) and herself. Can you play pickleball with five people? If not, it looks like someone forgot to attend. “Crap, I forgot,” Chad Duell (Michael) commented on the post!

However, even in the wake of a character demise that occurred on-screen, many onlookers suspect the news is too good to be true.
