Real Housewives: 7 Surprising Friendships Between Cast Members

Published on May 12, 2017.

Even though the Real Housewives franchise spans across America and even overseas, the community of Housewives is actually quite small! Many of the cast members know each other either by meeting at various Bravo events or just in the circle of Hollywood, and some have even forged friendships! We wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve bonded by swapping stories and gossip — how awesome would it be if they did a crossover season? Here’s a look at 7 surprising friendships between Real Housewives from completely separate shows!

7. Kristen Taekman and Brandi Glanville

Real Housewives of New York City Housewife Kristen Taekman and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville showed very different personalities while filming their respective Bravo shows, but off-camera they mesh quite well! Hailing from opposite ends of the country, Kristen and Brandi hang out quite frequently, and just a quick scroll through their social media will prove that! Kristen has also made several appearances on Brandi’s podcast and at one point there were rumors of a possible spin-off between these two — now that would be interesting!

6. Meghan King Edmonds and Carole Radziwill

Meghan King Edmonds and Carole Radziwill have a very random, but interesting connection to one another that surprisingly doesn’t have to do with either of them being on the Real Housewives. Meghan’s brother, RJ King, who also happens to be a model is good friends with Carole. He’s also a co-parent of Carole’s dog, Baby! Back in October 2016, the two hung out at Carole’s house with their two puppies and watched the latest episode of RHOC before making a joint appearance on Watch What Happens Live.

5. Eden Sassoon and Kristen Taekman

We’re not sure how close these two ladies really are, but they were spotted hanging out at the pre-Oscar party hosted by OK! Magazine. The former Real Housewives of New York City star and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie seemed to have a great time together and even bond over an inside joke about being “sister wives.” They were also photographed together during New York Fashion Week.

4. Bethenny Frankel and Kyle Richards

While many of the other friendships on this list were formed through the Real Housewives franchise, this friendship goes back over 25 years! Even though they live on separate coasts, Kyle Richards and Bethenny Frankel have maintained a long lasting friendship. Bethenny told Daily Dish she was there when the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star met her husband Mauricio, and at their wedding. They first met when Bethenny was living and working in L.A. She worked as Kyle’s sister Kathy Hilton’s assistant and as a babysitter for Paris and Nicky. Bethenny said the two continue to catch up over lunch and dinner when they’re in the same city. The perfect example of this was during season 6 of the RHOBH when Kyle invited her fellow cast mates over to Bethenny’s house in the Hamptons for an amazing crossover episode!

3. Heather Dubrow and Lisa Rinna

These two California ladies might be on different shows, but they definitely swim in the same circle of friends! Former Real Housewives of Orange County star, Heather Dubrow, met up for lunch with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna during an episode of RHOC back in season 10. The two ladies chatted about their shared past and how they met years ago in acting class! Since then Lisa has appeared on Heather’s podcast to dish on the latest news pertaining to RHOBH.

2. LuAnn De Lesseps and Marysol Patton

We’re not quite sure how this friendship originated, but it seemed to start when Real Housewives of New York star LuAnn de Lesseps began traveling down south with her now husband Tom D’Agostino. Tom and LuAnn have been spotted hanging out with former Real Housewives of Miami star Marysol Patton on several occasions and Patton had nothing but nice things to say about the new couple. Then in October 2016, Marysol hosted a bachelorette party for LuAnn and invited some other former Housewives like Jill Zarin, Adriana De Moura and Alexia Echevarria. Of course, Marysol was invited to the New Years Eve wedding a few months later and gushed about how much happier LuAnn has been since she met Tom which leads us to believe they’ve had a friendship for quite some time.

1. Teresa Giudice and NeNe Leakes

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has become good friends with NeNe Leakes, former star of Real Housewives of Atlanta. The two began forging a stronger friendship when Teresa and Joe started going through their legal troubles and NeNe has served as a close confidante for Teresa both before and during her time in prison, as well as now while Joe is away. Right before Teresa turned herself in for her sentence, she took her girls to see NeNe perform in her Broadway production back in 2014 and more recently in the past year since she’s been out the two have been spotted hanging out whenever Teresa is in Atlanta!
