30. Miss: Natalie Hemby

Natalie Hemby missed the mark at this year’s CMA Awards when she stepped out wearing this black color-blocked dress. The look didn’t seem to have any flow to it with the overwhelming spots of color and ruffle along the chest.

29. Hit: Kimberley Schlapman

Kimberley Schlapman nailed her look for this year’s CMA awards with this sleek tuxedo ensemble. The look felt sophisticated and chic but still a little glam with the metallic beading lining the hemlines.

28. Miss: Blanco Brown

Blanco Brown’s look for this year’s CMA Awards was definitely a little questionable. While the jeans and sunglasses definitely didn’t suit the event, we also can’t get over the fact that he wore an oversized messenger bag on the red carpet!

27. Hit: Jessie James Decker

Jessie James Decker looked like a ’90s supermodel in this sleek black slip dress she wore the CMA’s. The dress fit her like a glove and her effortless, undone hair perfectly complemented the look.

26. Miss: Brandi Carlile

Brandi Carlile had an unfortunate fashion miss at this year’s CMA awards! While we actually don’t mind the emerald tuxedo suit, Carlile simply went wrong with the way she styled it. The peach pussy-bow blouse and brown suede boots didn’t seem to flow with the rest of the look.

25. Hit: Lauren Bushnell

Recently married Lauren Bushnell and Chris Lane stepped out at the CMA’s looking adorable! Chris opted for a navy jacquard suit while his wife and former Bachelor star Lauren Bushnell wore a bright yellow gown. This color looks fabulous on her and feels like something straight out of Beauty and the Beast!

24. Miss: Trisha Yearwood

There’s definitely a time and place for zebra print, but we’re not convinced it’s the CMA’s! Trisha Yearwood rocked a long-sleeve zebra print gown on the red carpet this year which certainly made heads turn, but we’re not sure it was for the right reasons. We would have much preferred to see Yearwood incorporate zebra print in a more subtle way.

23. Hit: Lauren Akins

Thomas Rhett, Lauren Akins, and family looked absolutely adorable at this year’s CMA Awards. Rhett opted for a black polka-dotted suit while wife Lauren wore a black and red off-the-shoulder gown in a lovely floral print. His two daughters looked so precious in their dresses as well!

22. Miss: Martina McBride

Martina McBride stepped out at this year’s CMA Awards wearing a full-skirted rainbow gown. We can’t help but feel like this dress was a little too childish with the combination of the rainbow color scheme and tulle fabric.

21. Hit: Kristin Chenoweth

Kristin Chenoweth looked amazing at this year’s CMA Awards where she stepped out wearing a pink tulle dress with an asymmetrical neckline. Since this tulle was a little more subtle on the neckline and hemline, we thought it added an aspect of glamour rather than feeling overwhelming like other tulle dresses!

20. Miss: Colbie Caillat

Colbie Caillat missed the mark with her look for this year’s CMA Awards. While we love this icy blue shade on Caillat’s skin tone, we’re not sure the length of this dress was the most flattering. We’re also not the biggest fans of the visible sheer overlay on the skirt of this dress, which seemed to detract from the look a little.

19. Hit: Hannah Brown

Bachelorette star Hannah Brown dazzled at this year’s CMA’s in a voluminous tulle dress. We absolutely love the delicate cap sleeves and unique speckled texture of this dress. Her sleek hair and red lip made this look feel even more luxe and glamorous!

18. Miss: Nicole Kidman

We admittedly weren’t the biggest fans of the dress that Nicole Kidman wore to the CMA’s this year. While this deep burgundy shade was a nice contrast against her fair complexion, we’re not fans of the texture and pattern of this dress. There was a little too much going on at once!

17. Hit: Maddie and Tae

As always, Maddie and Tae stunned on the CMA’s red carpet this year! We love how they always coordinate their outfits in a subtle but flattering way. While Maddie opted for a metallic halter dress with a lilac clutch, Tae rocked a lilac dress with a high-slit that she paired with a metallic bag.

16. Miss: Tanya Tucker

While Tanya Tucker definitely dressed with country music as her inspiration, we’re not sure it was the classiest option for the CMA’s red carpet! The brown suede jumpsuit, embellished cowboy boots, and high-low style jacket were definitely bold, to say the least.

15. Hit: Reba McEntire

Reba McEntire looked so classy and chic at this year’s CMA Awards! This black sparkling number fit her like a dream and was a gorgeous contrast against her strawberry locks! The fur detail around the wrists also felt super glamorous and fashion-forward.

14. Miss: Karen Fairchild

Karen Fairchild didn’t hold back at this year’s CMA Awards where she stepped out rocking a full-length animal print gown. While we love the shape of this dress with the dramatic sleeve detailing, we simply felt like this much animal print at once was a little overwhelming.

13. Hit: Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton looked gorgeous at this year’s CMA Awards where she rocked a slim-fit champagne-colored gown. We love all the subtle but intricate detail of the pattern on this dress and it fit her like a glove!

12. Miss: Kelsea Ballerini

Kelsea Ballerini is absolutely stunning, but she could use a little help in the fashion department! While we love this rich blue color on her skin tone, we’re not sure this set was the most fashion-forward! We’re all for two-piece sets, but the pattern was a little strange and seemed to miss the mark.

11. Hit: Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon looked stunning at this year’s CMA’s where she rocked a one-sleeved black minidress. We love how this look feels both sophisticated and glitzy at the same time.

10. Miss: Pink

Pink missed the mark with her ensemble at this year’s CMA Awards! Although this burnt orange color looks gorgeous on her, we’re not sure we love the hat, which definitely seemed to distract from the pretty detail of the dress.

9. Hit: Lindsay Ell

Lindsay Ell looked so glam at the CMA’s this year where she rocked a body-hugging gold dress! The lines of this dress worked perfectly to highlight her hourglass figure and the soft gold color looked so flattering on her blonde tresses.

8. Miss: Halsey

While we love the flattering shape of this dress that Halsey wore to the CMA’s, we weren’t convinced by this floral print! The oversized rose embellishment felt so bold and dramatic that it detracted from the pretty off-the-shoulder neckline, which was unfortunate.

7. Hit: Sheryl Crow

Sheryl Crow dazzled on this year’s CMA Awards red carpet where she rocked a patterned long sleeve dress. The rich jewel tones worked so beautifully together and the glitzy beading brought so much glamour.

6. Miss: Carrie Underwood

We are typically huge fans of everything Carrie Underwood wears; however, we felt her red carpet look for this year’s CMA’s missed the mark! The gold embellishment was pretty against her blonde tresses, but the smokey blue tulle train felt over-the-top and out of place.

5. Hit: Lady Antebellum

Lady Antebellum stunned at the CMA’s this year where they stepped out in all-black. We love when bands coordinate the color scheme of their outfits because it makes their outfits feel more cohesive. Hillary Scott also stole the show with this chic black corset gown!

4. Miss: Maren Morris

Maren Morris is absolutely stunning, but we have to admit we didn’t love this powder blue dress that she opted for at the CMA’s. The skirt had far too much fabric for someone so petite!

3. Hit: Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert looked beautiful in this embellished fuschia gown at this year’s CMA Awards! The warm color looked stunning against her blonde hair and the glitzy embellishment was unique enough to make her stand out.

2. Miss: Kacey Musgraves

Kacey Musgraves had an unfortunate fashion miss at this year’s CMA’s where she rocked a yellow metallic gown. This look had way too much happening at once from the feathers to the sequins to the bold colors!

1. Hit: Gigi Hadid

Of all the looks at this year’s CMA awards, our favorite has to be this sleek white dress worn by supermodel Gigi Hadid. The dress did wonders to highlight her tall, slender figure and the boots tucked under the dress felt high-fashion and elevated.
