Emmy Awards 2017: 5 Best-Dressed Stars

Published on September 18, 2017.

The annual Emmy awards show marks one of television’s most highly anticipated nights of the year! Celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Biel gather together on the red carpet in Los Angeles dressed to the nines with aspirations of making it home on the best-dressed list and hopefully with an Emmy award in hand! Whether they earned the award or not, a few stars definitely left a lasting impression when it came to their fashion. Follow along for the five best dressed stars from last night’s star-studded event:

5. Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara took a bridal approach to her red carpet attire last night and looked absolutely angelic! The mermaid style cut flattered the star’s hourglass figure and the crisp white color kept the look clean and feminine. The ruched details of the bodice and sweetheart cut neckline further added to flatter her figure. She swept her hair up into an updo with a blunt-cut bang and topped the look off with dramatic drop-style earrings.

4. Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon definitely took a risk with this blazer-inspired satin number rather than opting for a typical floor skimming gown, but we love the result! She broke the tradition of wearing a flowing gown and instead wore this sharp Stella McCartney look! The petite star totally pulled off this style and the tailored, clean lines flattered her tiny figure flawlessly. She kept her platinum locks sleek and polished and pulled off unconventional in the best way possible.

3. Nicole Kidman

There is no shortage of buzz when it comes to Nicole Kidman’s appearance on the red carpet last night. From her controversial kiss with costar Alexander Skarsgard to her Best Actress in a Limited series award win, this star definitely had all eyes on her! Thankfully, the Calvin Klein by Appointment dress she rocked looked fabulous on the poised star! The metallic detailing along her neck was perfectly unique and the deep shade of crimson flattered her porcelain complexion, especially when paired with her red pout.

2. Felicity Huffman

Felicity Huffman’s icy blue number definitely turned heads last night! The Tony Ward dress was delicate and lacy but sheer in all the right places. The feminine cap sleeve detailing definitely balanced out the revealing neckline and the long train was sweeping and gorgeous! The star kept her hair loose and choppy and kept the accessories minimal with a simple silver bangle and drop-style earrings. She looked absolutely flawless!

1. Jessica Biel

Of all the stunning gowns that appeared on the red carpet last night, Jessica Biel’s sparkly look definitely stole the show! The striking silver number channeled old Hollywood glamour yet still had a modern day twist with the patchwork glitter. The thigh-high slit showed off her slender legs and the silver and nude chiffon layering meshed together perfectly. The look was glamorous and swoon-worthy, but definitely made a name for itself by being unique and unlike a typical red carpet gown!
