Another day, another reboot.

It seems that another classic TV series is making its way back to the small-screen. According to reports ABC is currently working on a reboot of the iconic 1960s series Bewitched.

Deadline reports that Black-ish creator Kenya Barris and Yamara Taylor who writes on the sitcom are going to be behind the reboot.

Bewitched originally aired from 1964 to 1972 for eight seasons starring Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha, a witch who tires to blend into suburban life with her normal husband, Darrin who was played by Dick York and was later replaced by Dick Sargent. Despite Samantha’s efforts to blend in, shenanigans followed thanks to her magical family, and their snoopy neighbors.

Like all reboots, there will be some changes made, including that the role of Samantha will go to an African-American woman and will be a single mom who remarries Darrin who is struggling in the work force.

Fans will remember that back in 2005, the series was reimagined for the big screen for a Bewitched movie starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell. In the film, Ferrell starred as an actor who wanted to star in a Bewitched movie and while looking for the perfect Samantha, he meets Isabel, a woman who seems too perfect for the role because she is actually a witch.

Attempts at bringing the series back to TV have been made in the past by both CBS and NBC, but neither project made it to production.
