Chelsea Handler Quits Her Show Because Of Justin Bieber, Kim K

According to The Daily Mail, the 39 year-old says she’s tired of talking about people like Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian, and the only way for her to escape the celebrity news cycle was to quit her show entirely. Check out the video for her full quote!
On Late Night, Chelsea goes through recent headlines with a rotating panel of three stand-up comedians. The stories include tales of stupid criminals and new inventions, but there’s always a healthy dose of celebrity news. Even if Chelsea and the comics get to skewer people like Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian, they’re still talking about these people, giving them more publicity and making their spotlight even brighter.
Since the show is on E!, the network that airs Keeping Up With the Kardashians, it’s not as though Chelsea could veer away from the celebrity brand completely.
Chelsea says that she’s going to be taking a much-needed break before returning to TV (or perhaps writing more books). When she comes back, perhaps we’ll see her do something more like Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert, since she’s expressed an interest in using her experience and fame to talk about something a bit more important than celebrity news.
