Eileen Davidson will return to The Young And The Restless (Y&R) as Ashley Abbott during the week of November 11.
Davidson has been playing the role of Ashley on and off since 1984. She left the soap in October 2018 and has been on recurring status since then. Her last appearances on Y&R were in July and August of this year.
It’s rumored Ashley will head back to Genoa City and reunite with her siblings Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). They’ll have a considerable amount to catch up on, as there is a lot going on with the Abbott family these days.
Traci and Jack recently discovered their mother Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) had a child out of wedlock with Stuart Brooks (Robert Colbert), before she married their father. That child was none other than Eric Vanderway (Jon Briddell), which makes Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) Ashley, Traci and Jack’s nephew. This also means Theo is Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) cousin, something Kyle is none too happy about.
The award-winning actress also played the role of Kristen DiMera on Days Of Our Lives intermittently from 1993 to 2018, until it was recently recast with Stacy Haiduk. Davidson, and the character of Ashley, also crossed over to Y&R’s sister soap The Bold And The Beautiful from 2007 to 2008.
But how will Ashley weigh in on Theo, the newest member of their clan? Keep watching Y&R to find out!
