Khloe Kardashian Calls Out Fashion Stylists Who Said She Was “Too Big”
Published on June 14, 2016.In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Khloe Kardashian talks openly about being snubbed by fashion stylists because they considered her “too big” to dress.
Kardashian, 31, has been steadily working out at the gym for the past several months, shedding 40 pounds in the process. Going to the gym was a way for Kardashian to de-stress from her life, including her rough relationship with soon-to-be-ex-husband Lamar Odom. “My home [with Odom] was dark and toxic,” she revealed. “At the time, my family didn’t know what I was going through. It was the biggest secret I’ve kept. I just needed a place to go.”
Physical fitness has become an important part of her life, and she fully admits she’s a workout fiend. “I’m a beast at the gym. I’m super competitive and I’m a sweater. I’m like, ‘Don’t f–k with me and don’t mess up my routine,'” she joked.
Since losing the weight, Kardashian has noticed she’s being treated differently in the fashion industry. “I definitely think the fashion industry, and people in general, look at me more now that I’ve lost weight,” she told the magazine. “Even on shoots, I would never have options for clothing. There would always be this attention on Kourtney and Kim, but I was too much work for [stylists] or they had nothing in my size. I wasn’t even that crazy big!”
Some stylists refused to work with her all together, saying she didn’t fit the size they wanted. “People actually said, ‘I just can’t work with you’—because I was too big. That always hurt my feelings, of course.”
Now sporting what she calls her “revenge body,” Kardashian has made sure the stylists don’t forget their mistake. She told the magazine that these same stylists who dissed her body are now eager to dress her. “I’m just like, ‘F—k you. I’m not going to reward your bad behavior,'” she said.
Good on you, Khloe!
