Yolanda Foster Opens Up About Battle With Lyme Disease

51-year old Yolanda Foster may be a star on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills where her life, drama and adventures are all on display but there is one aspect of her life that the show has largely avoided and she is now speaking out about her battle with Lyme disease.
In a new blog post for BravoTV. com Foster revealed how the disease has greatly affected her life since being diagnosed in 2012.
“Lyme Neuroborreliosis is a spirochete infection in the brain that can leave one with severe brain impairment and neurological issues. I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can’t process information or any stimulation for that matter. It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it,” she wrote in her emotional post.
She credits her husband, David Foster, and children, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid and Anwar Hadid for helping her through the difficult sickness and also vowed to do everything she can to help learn more and hopefully find a cure for Lyme disease.
“The most frustrating thing is that there is medical data on Lyme and spirochete infections going all the way back to 1908, but yet we still don’t have proper diagnostic testing, a vaccine, or a cure for Lyme disease while we are living in the United States of America, the most extraordinary country in the world. Something doesn’t add up here, and I will made [sic] it my life mission to figure this out, because nobody deserves to suffer this way in 2015.”
Foster has been doing her best to keep living life and recently traveled to Singapore where she sought the medical advice at a hospital and shared a picture on Instagram of her being cared for in a hospital bed with the caption, “I guess God gives his hardest battles to the strongest soldiers #MyHealthJourney #SearchForACure #NeuroLogicalLymeDisease Thank you to My love @officialdfoster and thank you to the most extraordinary staff at #MountElizabethNovenaHospital #Singapore for your kindness and excellent medical care.”
