As the stars of MTV’s hit reality series Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2 get older, many thought there would be less drama and the franchise might even come to an end, but the exact opposite is happening!
On Friday, July 20 it was confirmed that Bristol Palin would be joining the cast of Teen Mom OG after the exit of longtime star Farrah Abraham, and the decision caused some bad feelings for recently axed Teen Mom 2 star David Eason.
Eason, the husband of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans was fired after he made homophobic comments on Twitter, and took to his Instagram to explain why he thought MTV is a hypocrite for hiring Bristol Palin on the original Teen Mom series. “I know MTV is comprised of hypocrites but how do you fire me and hire Bristol Palin after all her homophobic and racist remarks?” he posted along with the caption, “Nothing against @bsmp2 personally but everything against @mtv . Liberals at their best trying to confuse, persuade and penalize.”
Following Eason’s reaction to the casting news, Jenelle took to her Twitter to share, “And again, I will ALWAYS stand by my husband’s opinion. #BestBelieve #StandUpForYourself.”
Eason’s comments about Palin’s behavior came because she has made headlines over the years for multiple controversial comments which have included criticizing same-sex marriage and laughing with her son Tripp when he called his aunt a “f—-t” on Palin’s former Lifetime series, Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp.
Aside from Farrah Abraham’s exit, David Eason’s firing, and the addition of Bristol Palin, the Teen Mom world was recently shaken up again when Ryan Edwards and his wife Mackenzie Standifer announced they would not be returning to Teen Mom OG.
