Teen Mom 2’s Leah Messer Opens Up About Split From Jason JordanPublished on April 9, 2019. Updated May 23, 2019
Fans of Teen Mom 2 have been rooting for star Leah Messer’s relationship with Jason Jordan which has been featured heavily during the show’s current season, and despite jokes of moving in together and things getting really serious, Messer has confirmed that the pair have officially split.
“We actually broke up,” Messer said. “I’m perfectly okay with it. Everything happens for a reason.”
She revealed that the breakup will be discussed on the show’s next season however thanks to her youngest daughter Addie. “Addie totally blurted it out. Addie totally ratted me out,” Messer told PEOPLE. “We actually filmed it because Addie was, she’s like, ‘Oh, my gosh, mommy and Jason broke up,’ because he had come over and Addie’s there and the girls were like, ‘What? I want to know what happened.’”
Messer and Jordan first began dating in mid-2018 before splitting in October of that year after about six months. Shortly after however they reunited and dated again from November to March of 2019 before splitting for good.
“It’s definitely done. Last time, he was going through a little bit of things, like, with his custody stuff. I was, like, ‘He is going through a lot, let’s give it another chance,’” she told Us Weekly. “It was just a toxic relationship. It wasn’t great.”
She added that the pair “don’t talk” and seemed to hint that maybe Jordan was using her for TV time, which is disappointing to fans. “You don’t know who’s in it for the right reasons and who is not in it. Being on TV makes it difficult dating. I just roll with it. I’m not looking for anything,” she added.
After opening up about her breakup from Jordan, the mom-of-three sparked rumors of a rekindled romance with her ex-husband Jeremy Calvert after posting a series of sweet photos of the two together for the Teen Mom 2 reunion. “At the end of the day, we will always be a team! @jcalvert505 #teenmom2#reunionweekend #somuchfun,” Messer wrote alongside the photos.
